(9877.HK)'s self-developed transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) system, Ken-Valve, has received approval from the Department of Health of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China. The Company is actively advancing the commercialization of the product in the Hong Kong market.

Ken-Valve is one of the few TAVR products designed specifically for the treatment of aortic regurgitation (AR), with or without concomitant aortic stenosis (AS). With its broad sizing portfolio and large-diameter valve options, Ken-Valve is available in valve sizes ranging from 23 mm to 33 mm, offering valuable treatment options for patients with large annuli and AR. Ken-Valve incorporates several key innovative technologies in its design. Its integrated clamping and positioning mechanism provides stable and reliable anchoring, enabling secure valve fixation in anatomies with little or no calcification. The sealing skirt is designed to help reduce the risk of paravalvular leak (PVL) following implantation. In addition, the bovine pericardial leaflets are treated with a proprietary anti-calcification technology and have demonstrated favorable biocompatibility and mechanical properties, which may support long-term durability. Furthermore, the steerable delivery system is designed to accommodate complex access anatomies, enabling precise valve deployment, enhancing procedural safety and efficiency, and shortening the learning curve for operators.

Driven by its differentiated product advantages, ongoing therapy development and market education efforts, and extensive commercialization experience, Ken-Valve has gained broad market recognition. The approval of Ken-Valve by the Hong Kong Department of Health further supports the product's potential in the treatment of AR, with or without concomitant AS. The Company will continue to accelerate the global commercialization of Ken-Valve and advance its long-term strategic objectives.
